Caleb Martoccia '23 Recruiting Profile

I have played baseball every year for 11 years.  I started travel baseball at age 7 and enjoy traveling anywhere to play.  I have a huge passion for the game and have never said I don’t want to go to a practice. It is fair to say that I live and breathe the game and I believe I always will.  When I find a weakness in my skill level I go after it until it is no longer a weakness.  I am highly coachable and am open to improving my skills.  I earned MVP this, my first year to play for my high school team.

I am a 3 sport athlete and I have taken what I’ve learned from my 11 years playing basketball and my 9 years playing football and translated those skills to help me on the baseball diamond. On the diamond I enjoy playing just about every position.  My favorite is Centerfield.  I love making difficult catches and throwing runners out at home from deep center.  I have also played a lot of shortstop the last several years and I have become one of my teams tournament day pitchers.  I am a hard worker and a dedicated team player. I will give my team my all each and every day.  

I would love the opportunity to demonstrate what I can do for your collegiate team.  I would also appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow as a player under the direction of a great coaching staff.   I am open to traveling anywhere I need to to get the education I need while playing the sport I love.  My future is in baseball as a player and beyond and I look forward to playing at a college that can help my dreams come true.
