Ty Murray '20 Recruiting Profile

I want to continue my academic career at a rigorous university, and continue playing baseball at the highest level. I work daily to improve myself both in the classroom and on the field, constantly striving for excellence. Finding the right culture where I am wanted and where I want to be is key for me. During my initial years in college, I plan to study biology and/or exercise science; ultimately, I will use my education to teach and help others, most likely through sports medicine. Until then, I spend most of my time outside of school improving myself, surrounded by great people and have found a home at Premier Baseball, with my throwing instructor Bob Zimmerman, and at KCSC, with Matt Hinkley (Eric Cressey protégé) and John Renzi. All of this work shapes me into who I am on the field. I am defensively versatile, capable of playing the whole infield and corner outfield. I am strong at the plate, providing consistent gap power as well as having the ability to hit situationally. As a teammate I work to be detail-oriented and a strong leader. I will make an impact at whichever school I attend—athletically and academically.
