Coming into my junior year in high school baseball has played a large role in my life. The main focus for me in college will be to pursue a degree academics will come first. since the 5th grade I have been in the gifted program for my academic excellence. I am still in this program to this date and in high school I'm taking all my classes in the honors program. From a baseball standpoint, the highlight of my high school career so far was pitching in our 18 inning game against sulphur high school in Louisiana. This game was without a doubt the longest game we had ever played in but the game taught all of us to rally with one another and to have focus throughout that whole game. After our season came to a close, I was rewarded the, "For the love of the game award," this award is handed out to the player who brings the energy and brings a strong presence in the locker room, in which I consistently try an do on a daily basis within practice and the game. Coming into any college program I hope to not only bring a strong presence of energy in leadership but also to feel at home and get a great education at whichever school I attend.
