Personal Statement

My main goal is to play the highest level of baseball I can, I have aspirations to be a professional one day. I am very determined and have a great mind set when it comes to academics and athletics. I have very high expectations for myself and I do everything in my power to meet my goals. A major accomplishment for me would be to play college baseball for a Division 1 program. I take my academics very seriously, at my high school I currently have a 4.2 GPA and I am ranked in the top 10% of my class of almost 1000 students. I have maintained an A average in the classroom and I take the highest level classes my school offers. I take Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate classes and I speak Chinese. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to get my degree(s), play baseball and succeed in life. I am very athletic and have superb footwork in the middle infield. I am in tremendous shape and work out very hard, during the off-season I work out and I wrestle for my high school. I am on the varsity team. What makes me different from other recruits is that I try my best at everything I do, especially with academics and I am always the hardest working player on and off the field. I am very respectful, coachable and I'm not afraid to take on a challenge. What makes me a good candidate for your team is I will be a student first and succeed in academics as well as play the absolute best I can for the team I play on, as well as show impeccable leadership. I have a burning desire to be the best and with that I stay humble and work hard.
