Augie Hutchison '21 Recruiting Profile

My main goal is to play baseball in college while earning my bachelor degree, leading to a career in the MLB. 

I pride myself in academics and so far have a 3.7 in my junior year.  I graduate in 2021 and have interest in science and/or engineering.  I am a dedicated team player.

I am a 2 sport athlete at Division 1, Class A Saline High School.  I play varsity baseball and football.  I play summer ball for Ford’s 17U Legacy team. I currently play center or right field and RHP.

Saline High School is top ranked for academics (#8 in the State) as well as having a top ranked baseball program.  Saline High won a D1 State Championship for baseball in the spring of 2017 and has been runner up six times and final four bracket eight times. My exit velocity has reached 92 and I have hit 88 on a pull down. My fastball is 87 maxing out about 88 mph. I led my team in RBI’s and have a .370 batting average.  

Baseball is my passion and I have a goal of helping Saline High bring in their 2nd State Championship leading to a successful college and then MLB career.    

Background:

•  I throw a 4 seam fastball, a 2 seam fastball, a curve, and a change-up. During the offseason, I will also try to find another secondary pitch that might include a cutter or a slider. My infield velocity from short-stop is 86. My outfield position velocity around 88. My exit velocity is 92 My 60 time is 6.7 seconds.  My 40 yd time is 4.7 seconds.
