- 1/13/2012 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament "Chapa continues to show improvements in his abilities behind and at the plate. Arm strength has improved as he displays life, carry, and accuracy on his throws. He gets rid of the baseball quickly with improved pop times showing in the 2.03 – 2.21 range. Receiving skills have also improved through a solid setup and soft hands. At the plate, hitting / power grades have shot up through a solid setup. His hands are quick, generating bat speed through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with the baseball jumping off his bat when centered. His swing gets long as he needs to work to keep his hands inside the ball to utilize all fields and improve hitting grades. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 76-81 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displayed sharp 11/5 shape with tight spin. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength and velocities are developed."

High set up behind the plate, some developing arm strength, long arm action. 7.68 runner, upper half rotational swing, high hands, aggressive to the ball, looks to pull, some strength in his swing. PG Grade: 6.5 ."
