Annie Malloy '24 Recruiting Profile

I have played field hockey with Aim Field Hockey Club since the 3rd grade. I love the confidence and resilience I have gained from this sport which I use daily. In addition, field hockey has brought opportunities and experiences that I enjoy sharing with my friends and family.

I am excited that my hard work and the support I get playing with Aim and at St. Joseph's Academy are putting me in a position to advance my playing career at the collegiate level. I am looking for opportunities where I can contribute to a field hockey team and also be able to have an enjoyable college experience. I recognize playing a sport in college is a commitment, and I would like to maintain solid academics and meet new people.

As a player, I have developed an offensive and defensive mindset that allows me to play multiple positions on the field. After successfully playing forward the first few high school seasons (AIM & St. Joseph's), I have shifted to mostly playing left midfield and defensive mid. In addition, I enjoy cheering on my teammates and motivating them to push themselves on the field and the sidelines.

To support my play, I recognize the need for training. Therefore, since November 2021, I have trained with Fitzmaurice Performance twice weekly. This has helped with my strength, conditioning, and injury prevention.

Off the field, I stay active at school and like to spend time with my close friends. In addition, I am an admissions ambassador for my school and an officer in multiple clubs where I can develop my communication skills. Also, I  have been working part-time at a pastry shop since June 2021.
