Koryn Leyland '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Koryn Leyland.

I am currently attending Washington Township High School, as a junior. 

I have been playing field hockey since I was in 4th grade, as a midfielder, and a defender. My sophomore year in high school, my coach gave me the opportunity to try out as a goalie, I was a little nervous at first, but took the chance. I fell in love with the position and the sport it self even more. Even though it was a new position it felt natural to me.  While playing the sport, I have learned that I am very competitive, due to the fact that there are three junior goalies who are all fighting for the same spot. I also learned that I am very aggressive from watching myself play.  

My goals after high school are to attend a four year college as soon as I graduate, and to continue my love for field hockey.
