Ibin-Farod Shabazz '23 Recruiting Profile

Growing up I've always wanted to make a difference in the world, from becoming president to just a random guy changing other people's lives,  and as I got older I grew an unconditional love for football, but my dreams stayed the same. I am a hard-working student-athlete and entrepreneur, that will never back down from a challenge. Both in school, on the field, and in the world, I present myself to a high standard as a young black man who is goal-oriented, proactive, intelligent, accountable, and adaptable.  My goal is to make it to the NFL but also start my own business to both help others and grow it for my time after the NFL. When it comes to my team, I am a natural-born leader not afraid to go against the status quo and sacrifice for the team. I've been described by many coaches as "one of the hardest workers I know", "I wish a lot of my students, had the same mindset as Ibin!",  and "Highly coachable".  To, my teammates, I am one of them but also someone who stands out to help anyone in need. As I compare myself to other athletes I would say you will get the most out of me. Growing up I was raised by a single mother who was also an entrepreneur and has taught me to become the best person I can be. When it comes to me, you know exactly what you will get out of me and be surprised by the things you didn't expect. I am a highly competitive person who always wants to achieve and learn more, whether it's on the field, in class, and in the world
