Griffin McGee '23 Recruiting Profile

I plan to earn a scholarship based on my academic accomplishments and my kicking abilities. I'm confident I will be an asset to both your university and football program because I've been taught to give my best in all I do. Nine years of amazing coaching and support have given me the skills and work ethic to be successful at any level. This helps me on the field, as well as in the classroom. I'm ranked 3rd in my class with a 4.06 GPA. I'm the first freshman kicker in school history to earn a varsity letter, recording 18 varsity points in five games.

As a junior in 2021, I scored 50 points as the kicker, finishing 3rd in scoring for the team. I made 90% of my extra point attempts and was 3 of 7 on field goals, with two misses being blocked.  My 2022 senior season was even more successful, converting on all six field goal attempts with my longest at 43 yards, making 35 of 38 extra points, with two being blocked, and a total of 53 kicking points scored. I finished my career with 123 kicking points which led all seniors in scoring, a career 90% success rate on PATs and over 70% on field goals.

Training with Kohl's Kicking Camps, I've been rated 4 of 5 stars. In my most recent charting showcase, I had 4 of 5 kickoffs beyond 60 yards, with an average of 62.
