My goal is to play at a Division I College on either offense or defense. I am in the class of 2015 at Beatrice High School in Beatrice, Nebraska which is a Class B school. I made it my goal to play on the varsity team as a freshman and because of my hard work I both played and lettered my freshman year. I played on both sides of the ball, as well as on the kicking teams.
During my junior season I started at running back and linebacker for our team that ended up ranked #8. As a running back I was named to the Class B All-State (Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald newspapers, as well as Huskerland Prep Report), All-District, All-Conference, and Academic All-State and All-Conference teams. I broke three school records this year – 24 touchdowns (single season); 1474 rushing yards (regular season) and 1693 rushing yards (including post season). I was also named the Nebraska Prep Athlete of the Week for the week of September 13th. I received an offer from South Dakota State University after attending their Junior Day. I attended Wyoming's Junior Day March 8th. This fall I was invited to North Dakota State University for an unofficial visit and took three Unofficial Visits to the University of Nebraska – for the Northwestern, UCLA and Iowa games.
On May 4th, I attended the Rivals Camp in Chicago, Illinois. I was invited to participate in the 2014 U.S. Army National Combine, but was unable to attend due to wrestling commitments.
As a sophomore, I rushed for 800 yards as a backup running back and was a starting linebacker on a team that went 10-0 in the regular season. I received All-District, All-Conference, Honorable All-State along with Academic All-Conference honors as a sophomore.
Last May I participated in the Under Armour Nebraska Top 50 Combine. I was the top overall underclassman performer and I was in the top 5 overall in the bench (20 reps - 185 lbs), 40-yd dash (4.75 electronic), and the broad jump (9-2). I attended Oklahoma State and Nebraska camps this past summer. During the season and off-season I work out with my high school football coach (Bob Sexton) and team, as well as a speed/agility coach. Because of my hard work I have improved in all my agility drills and core lifts.
Excelling in the classroom is just as important to me as it is on the football field. I currently have a 3.657 GPA and am a member of National Honor Society, Key Club, Southeast Nebraska Red Cross Board Member, Centenary United Methodist Church and am a Junior Class Officer.
I know what it takes to play for a top football program and will go above and beyond what is expected of me to ensure I play at the next level.
