Football was introduced to me when I was 6 years old and from day one I have been very passionate about it. Although it may seem like a game to those watching, football means much more to me. It has taught me several valuable life lessons like teamwork, discipline, hard work, perseverance, and leadership. I have always worked hard on improving and taking my game to the next level, whether I was competing to start on my youth team, to play high school football, or now for an opportunity to play college football. When I was in the fifth grade, I moved to Oak Harbor, Washington where I witnessed my first high school football game. I looked up to those guys like they were playing on the big stage in the NFL and now, as I see myself under the lights on Friday nights, it is very surreal to be in their shoes. It really humbles me that I can make a kids day just high fiving him or by throwing him a few passes at the park. I am ready to take my game to the next level and am working hard to prepare myself for college. Although I don't know what career path I am going to pursue, I feel very fortunate to be able to continue playing football while continuing my education at the college level. At the next level, I will work harder than ever, on the field, in the gym, and most importantly in the classroom. I will give coaches and teachers nothing less than everything I have and I promise to impress.
