My name is Kevin Olsen and I am a sophomore at Villa Park High School-class of 2015. I have played basketball since I was 7. This is my second year as a starter on the varsity basketball team and I play the 1, but can also play the 2. It is my intention to play college ball at the Divsion 1 level, but I am open to all opportunities in order to find the right fit, both academically and athletically. I am focused, both in school and on the court, and am looking for a school and basketball program that is looking for a leader, someone with a high basketball IQ, great court vision and work ethic. My whole goal when I step onto the court is to make those around me and my team as a whole better. Though it might not always show in the scoring stats column, I bring to the court the intangibles that causes my coach to call me the 'glue guy.' I am a pass first guard and love it when something I do results in someone else scoring or a great play. I also recognize the importance and necessity of defense and am constantly working on my footwork, speed and lateral movement, specifically in the off season. When I am not playing basketball or training, I like to golf and spend time with my friends.
