Nicholas Unger '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a 17 year old with dreams of success in this game called basketball that I love so much.  I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I live with my mother and father and I have an older sister who is a Junior in college in New Jersey. I have played many sports as a child, but basketball was always my favorite. It has always been more than a game to me, more like a form of art to me. Ever since I can remember, I have always played basketball with my dad, my cousins and my sister. I often went alone to the nearby basketball courts and would shoot for hours and hours.

My academics have always been good in my high school career. My high school is a small, all male, Catholic high school and it is one of the best academic schools in the country. My school is a Technical Institute and we are required to take engineering courses. The course of study that I selected was Architecture & Construction Engineering (ACE) because my uncle went to my high school and ACE was his choice of study so I decided to check it out and ended up finding me passion because of that.

I plan on using my college education to work in the Environmental Engineering field. I am very passionate about doing this because I feel I can make a difference in the world. I will design and build buildings or structures that will make our cities more energy efficient. I think that renewable energy will greatly help our communities  and green technology will make this world cleaner for our grandchildren, their grandchildren and all future generations.

To any coach that may be reading this, I am a hard worker and I will give you my all every single day. I am coachable and always eager to learn. I feel like God has given me all my natural abilities to be a great basketball player and I am looking forward to use my talent and skill set to help any college program that gives me the opportunity to be a part of their program.
