Personal Statement

I'm reaching out to you today to make a difference on your Men's College Basketball Team. As a freshman in High School I played Point Guard for my JV Sophomore team at Freedom High. I then transferred my sophomore year to Tracy Joint Union High during COVID-19, and did not use my eligibility Sophomore year per distant learning COVID protocols. Instead I played in the AIA conference and tournaments within the NIBC League. My sophomore fall year I played in three months fifteen games total for ALCPREP Christian Academy (Addidas Gauntlet AZ Saints 17U) program in Arizona to make up for the time lost for High School basketball year. I followed up with my High School that summer and played in the High School summer league. My Junior year on Varsity I stunned all competition with my scoring, defense and basketball IQ. I graduated from Tracy High School as a senior on the Varsity Basketball Team as starting Point Guard. I currently now play for Arizona Christian University and play as a Point Guard on the developmental practice team. I am a pressure breaking guard that can play any style basketball. I have been evaluated by AAB All-Basketball, and several college coaches as a High Ceiling and responsible Basketball player and when I am in transition a two way menace on offense and defense with the ability to score at will. I have also been observed and evaluated by Pro-Insight who reported that I am "a Low-Mistake player that contributes to winning by playing my role, and is a solid complimentary piece at the next level: Really competes on both ends and checks multiple INTANGIBLE boxes and someone you want to be in the trenches with; plays hard, comfortable initiating offense and can knock down open shots, etc....".

I can play up to any competition and compete due to my years of experience. If you're looking for a player with elite speed, great vision to creating opportunities for his teammates, an ability to score at any position from 10' and beyond the 3-point line, and a shutdown defender with an unlimited motor then please look no further. I am prepared for the next level!

Virtual Camp requesting a full game and highlights for analysis. This is my fourth Elite camp with Barry University 1 in person and 3 virtual. Being this was my third camp Coach personally did not evaluate me on my best points on purpose due to prior evaluations of good write ups. Coach focused on things that need improvement for this camp. Reported things to work on: Player needs to hit weights more to be able to absorb hits from bigger college opponents without getting off balance. Has great shooting ability but needs to shoot more in a game. Already has great dribbling skills for a combo guard but needs to dribble tighter against DI, II opponents.

Evaluation: All-purpose guard that plays the game at a high level on both ends of the floor. Makes other players better around him in a variety of ways. Can really score from all three levels and is able to stretch the defense to a couple of feet beyond college range. Change of pace guard in transition that can pull up at mid-range or get all the way to the basket. Finishes well at the rim with both hands and is savvy enough to beat rotating defenders with floaters and wrong foot finishes. Good passer with either hand as well as consistently makes the right play in the paint, playing on balance and under control. Defensively can alter offenses with deflections and on-ball pressure 94 feet! Things to work on: Work to become and even better ball handler, lower to the ground with quick isolation moves to be able to excel as a dominant guard at the next level. Foot speed and quickness can always be enhanced to be as versatile as possible on the court. Continue to get reps with jump shots and continue to get better. Izaac is a very advanced player with a great feel for the game.

Evaluation: Izaac appears to be a guard that takes pride in his defense, keeping the ball in front of him and getting deflections. Izaac is also a capable driver and finisher. Izaac needs to work on playing off of two feet; to be able to shot fake and jab off a catch and to finish drive off of two feet on balance where you can finish strong at the rim or jump stop and pivot to avoid an out of control play that can lead to a TO. Izaac is a good shooter but can improve his efficiency by shooting more in practice.

Bottom line Remarks of Pro Insight: Really competes on both ends. Can score from anywhere on the floor contested. Checks multiple "intangible" boxes and is someone you want to be in the trenches with. A low-mistake player that contributes to winning by playing his role. Feels like a solid complimentary piece at the next level unless he becomes elite in a single category.
