Uta Uchida '16 Recruiting Profile

I would like to pursue a career in basketball, while also planning a second career option. I would really like to play in college and make an impact on my team. I've always been known to be a very serious, but kind and caring person. When it comes to basketball, I am a fierce competitor as well as a great teammate, always encouraging others even when I am not on the court. Wherever I can make an impact, I am always trying to make one. I believe the small details count and I hope to inspire others to really do so too. I am currently enrolled at the IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida where I am working on my body and basketball skills everyday and aspiring to be the best student-athlete I can be. I have a long wingspan at 6'8, and ambidextrous. I am primarily a catch and shoot and off the dribble shooter but can drive when needed. I am also huge on energy; I like to bring energy wherever, whether on the court or off always trying to bring people together. My biggest dream is to have a successful college career both on and off the court.
