I am a hardworking, determined young man, who desires to play collegiate ball. Basketball and sports have been my safe haven. My mom got me involved in sports at an early age, to make sure I kept busy and wasn't hanging out on the streets. Diagnosed with a learning disability at a young age, I have to set goals, work hard and sometimes I require tutors to help keep me on track.
During Jr. High and High School, I wanted to play basketball with the school's team. In order to play, I had to maintain a certain GPA per school guidelines. My mom had different expectations, and I am happy to say, that during my junior and senior years of high school my GPA didn't fall below 3.0. I worked hard academically and on the court and will continue to do so throughout my college years.
I believe and play with the positive never quit attitude. When I'm playing I give everything I have and I leave it all on the court. As co-captain of my high school team, I strived to motivate, encourage and engage my teammates. I feel my qualities combined with my skills and willingness to learn and be better, make me stand out from others.
