Personal Statement
I have started varsity in both football and basketball for four years. In basketball, I was strictly a 2 guard until my junior year and I became a combo guard. I am also a 4 yr starter in football as a quarterback. My coaches describe me as a leader and a coach on the field and the court. I am athletic and strong. I am a competitor. I am willing to work hard on both ends of the court. I take pride in not allowing my opponent to score and I believe that offensively, it is a team effort. The big plays are exciting to watch but it is the fundamentals that wins games. Each year of high school I have been named to the All District, All region, and All state honorable mention. My junior year, I transfered to a new high school to play for my dad who had gotten the head basketball coaching position. The previous season, the team had won only 7 games. We had a record of 24-5 my first year and won the region losing by 3 the first round of the state tournament. I am a good student. I am in the National Honor Society. I am an active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and I am a role model on my teams as well as in the classroom. I have opted to go to prep school at Charis Prep next year & will now be a 2013 recruit.
