My college goals are to maintain 3.5 GPA, play basketball for a D-1 school, and graduate with a 4-year degree. I am different than any other candidate because I enjoy playing team basketball and seeing others around me as well as myself succeed. Basketball is important to me because it is a challenge. It is a fast paced and action-packed sport. I enjoy the fact it is different all the time. It keeps me active and constantly challenging me to work harder and be a better team player. I play and complete with older and more experienced individuals to continue stretching my abilities. This forces me to do the extra work like working out with the high school team during off seasons and to work with individuals that are specialized in sport performance training.
Off the court, I am an active member of my home church, C3 Church. I currently serve as a student-teacher assistant in the kids’ ministry. I have been serving in this role for approximately one-year. Prior to serving in this role, I served on the greeting team for approximately five years. Through our church, we are encouraged to be involved in community outreach programs. The programs I have participated in are the Special Needs Easter Egg Hunt, ministering to the homeless, and various Serve Day projects.
Academically, I seek assistance and assist others as needed. I participate in classroom discussion and work to complete the class requirements as outlined.
