William (Ryan) Moss '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'4" 17 year old striving to develop myself as a strong candidate for a college basketball team. I play the Small Forward/Power Forward position and can guard all positions. I was introduced to basketball at eight years old and that is where I developed a passion for the game. I have played for Garner Road AAU Basketball Club out of Raleigh, NC and Mid-state Magic out of Burlington, NC over the last four years and will start my Senior season on the Varsity Basketball team for Orange High School in Hillsborough, NC.  For the 2023-2024 season I have been selected as the Varsity Team Captain. 

During my 2022 AAU season, I experienced a series of sports injuries, which led to a minor arthroscopic meniscectomy.  Facing this type of adversity heading into my junior year season has given me perspective on how to better manage my body and my mindset.  I focused on successful rehabilitation and returned for the last third of the season.  I worked all Spring to get more explosive and tightening my handles to exceed my performance prior to injury.  I entered the June 2023 "live" season in excellent physical condition and saw the results. 

My Coaches say that I have a high Ball IQ and very versatile as I can guard every position. I am a good communicator and working on my leadership skills as I want to be a leader. I follow the rule of "No Books, No Ball" and maintain a strong grade point average and actively participate in my classes.

My goal is to win a State Championship during my four years at Orange High School and become a better basketball player to the level that a college coach like you will notice me and ask me to join your team.
