  • HOOPSCOLUMN.COM Colon did an excellent job making some nice passes in transitions. He showed the ability to consistenly make 3 pointers. Was shifty and quick with the ball. Definetly made an impression at this event.

  • Robert Colon (Northside HS (Jacksonville, 6’0, Guard, 2016)- Robert Started off the 1st half of his 1st game of camp pretty slow but once he settled down he showed what type of player he truly is. This young man can score in bunches in a blink of eye, in the 4th quarter he of his 1st game he scored 8 straight points on 3 consecutive possessions. Scoring is not all that he can do though; he has great court vision and is an outstanding passer. Robert also has good footwork and showed that on the defensive end, he is a under the radar prospect that is on track to have a breakout year this season.

  • Robert Colon, Northside H.S (Jacksonville) C/O 2016, 6’0, Guard- The first time I saw Robert play was about a year ago at a camp in Raleigh, I was very impressed with him and knew deep down inside that he had the potential to be special. Well after seeing him perform well at the Basketball Elite Southeast Summer Showcase in June against solid competition, my next question was how would he perform with his high school team. The ECI provided that platform for him and he impressed me more this time than he has the first two events that I saw him. This young man quite frankly put on a show and had fans going crazy with his knock down shooting as well as his quick moves and outstanding ball handling skills. In a game against Wallace Rose Hill with his team facing a deficit I watched Robert go for 11 straight points (3 for 3 from downtown). He has a very solid frame and embraces contact well when attacking the paint; he has a fearless mentality when attacking the basket and is a very confident player. On the defensive end of the floor Robert really gets after it, he has very quick hands and feet, which leads to numerous steals and forced turnovers, out of all the times i’ve seen him play I have yet to see him get into foul trouble. Overall Robert performed very well at ECI and is on track to have a breakout season; He’s one of my favorite prospects to watch and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him crack the 2016 Top 50 rankings before the year is done.

  • Robert Colon (Northside H.S, Dream Team, Point Guard, 5’11, 2016)- Robert was a player at the showcase that I really feel helped his stock, he did not get much playing time for his high school this past season because of numerous Seniors that played the Guard positions. With that being said I can guarantee that he will definitely play a solid role for his squad next year as he showed many attributes that coaches’ at the high school and college level love. Robert showed very good ball handling skills but did not over dribble; he also displayed outstanding court vision, dropping beautiful passes to teammates. Robert is a very good shooter and knows how to score, he knocked down numerous perimeter shots and finished well in transition, also has a decent frame for a PG his age that he uses to embrace contact.

  • #23/67 5’11 ’16 Robert Colon of Northside HS in Jacksonville (NC) We credit scout Charles Clark for bringing him to our attention and he did not disappoint. He is a physically strong PG that has advanced ball handling and passing skills. He plays with confidence and has certain “flair” to his game.
