Personal Statement

As a player from the Appalachian Region of the States, I have an intense drive and work ethic. I strive to be the that i possibly can be. I've always been a competitor. I'm not a sore loser but I do not enjoy it. I take losses to heart, build off them, and make my mistakes into the next games successes and perfections. I have a sense of leadership. As a sophomore I lead the junior varsity team, over the juniors that we had. I also played a significant role on the varsity, coming off the bench for only a few rebounds, points, and assists per game. On the Junior Varsity end I strived to be in double-digit scoring with around the same amount of rebounds, and quite a few assists.

I am about 6 foot 1, and growing.I weigh 180 pounds. I am not the fastest person you will find on the floor but I have worked on my skills and moves enough to execute them quick enough to get the job done.
I haven't received any important accomplishments yet but I am striving to get them. I feel that by getting noticed, and scouted, will give me extra noticing from important people.

I feel that to the team, I can and do add a sense of seriousness, urgency, skill, awareness, agility, and Hard work. In my playing experience, i have almost ALWAYS been the first on the floor, and the last out of the gym. I, as I said earlier, have a strong work ethic. I was always trying to set up Sunday shoot-arounds but always ended up working alone. This is fine with me.

I want to go somewhere where i will enjoy the atmosphere and develop into the best person i could possibly be in life. It has always been my dream to go to a big school to play basketball. I've always wanted to go somewhere to play. I set this goal around the age of 5 when I started playing basketball. I would enjoy going to a school in a big city, such as The Ohio State University, just as an exampe.

I am looking for a great school. The division wouldn't matter much, as long as there is a basketball program, a good one, and an equal oppurtunity to get my degree and start the right path of my life. I'm interested in big schools, but a small school would be just fine with me because I am from a small town anyways. So it would not be anything different to me.I have been interested in Alice Lloyd and Shawnee State University. Marshall University was always a possibility for me too.

My desired major is physical therapy and sports medicine. I've thoroughly enjoyed sports my whole life and feel that it would fit me to works with atheletes. My main goal is to go into the physical therapy field and possibly begin my own business, in a big city. I have always viewed myself as goal oriented and I feel I can meet my goals by going to a good school.

My athletic goals have been set almost my whole life. I want to join a team that I can play an important role on, and lead the team. I feel I can make a huge impact on a team. I feel that I should go straight in to the highest level of competition because it will ready me for any professional athletic career that i may find. I have always dreamed of playing in the NBA and coming out of a good college. I won't stop until I meet these goals. There are different people that play sports, but the ones that i have tried to be like and play like, are the ones who never give up, and the ones who don't give up on there dreams. I will never give up on my dreams until I accomplish what I have came to do, and that is be part of the greatest teams, and win.
