My name is Teon Jennings. I am 6’1 and 210 pounds. I am a Junior student at Beechcroft High School (Cougars) in Columbus, Ohio. My GPA is 3.3 and I have been on the Honor Roll every year since middle school. I am a scholar athlete, member of the STEM Club, I Know I Can, Freshman Fusion Mentor, Captain of our Varsity team this year and I intend on majoring in some sort of sports career. I believe schools is very important on my road to success and it has helped me grow
I play basketball in the positions of point guard and guard. I have always loved the game of basketball. When I was a toddler my aunt said that she was amazed at how long that I would stand and shoot baskets in my little tikes hoops, (that most toddlers attention span would not hold on one task that long). My mom used to tell everyone how I used to sleep at night hugging my basketball. I took my first basketball skills class at the age of 6 at the neighborhood recreation center. I started playing basketball there every year until I entered AIMS middle school and played in my 7th and 8th grade years. I played JV and Varsity in my freshman year at Beechcroft High School. I was a starter in my sophomore and junior year. I was selected as captain in my Junior year as well. This spring and summer, I will again be playing AAU for the Elite Basketball Club Prospects 17U.
I have received several awards, such as two time Cougar MVP and two time Max Prep Player of the game. I was selected Honorable Mention in my sophomore and junior years. I was also mentioned in a couple articles for my rebounding, assists, and points scored. I have been told by many coaches that I am very coach-able and a hardworking athlete with strong knowledge of the game, a leader. My brother also plays on our team. People call us twins, but we are actually triplets. Our other brother is active in music, theater and STEM. He considers himself our #1 fan and our cameraman. I appreciate your time and I look forward to hearing from you.
