My name is Elijah Dates and I am a 6'2 point guard who loves to study and play the game of basketball. I have been playing basketball with my father since I was six years old. He was my first trainer and still trains me today. My goal is to play basketball for as long as I am able to. I enjoy the game and it has given me opportunities to make long lasting friendships and taught me valuable life lessons. I have learned the value of teamwork and communication. I have also learned decision making skills and the importance of persevering through obstacles. My goal is to get a quality education in Sports and Entertainment Marketing, while being able to play collegiate basketball. When I play basketball, I believe that it is not only about the results, but about the product that you put forth. If you put forth a great product, you will get a great result. I’m a coachable, respectful, hardworking, dependable, and trustworthy. I hope to find a college where I can grow and add value to the program by fitting in with its culture.
