Reyn Thomas Morioka '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Reyn Thomas Junichi Morioka.  I am a senior at Kauai High School in Lihue, Hawaii.  I am 5' 7" and weigh `170 lbs. and I am right handed.  I have been playing golf since I was 5 years old when my Dad introduced me to the game.  I have been a member of the Kauai Junior Golf Association and the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association since age 7.  I enjoy the game of golf because of the challenges and the comraderie of fellow competitors.  Golf has taught me many life lessons, such as patience, integrity, honesty, perserverence, and sportsmanship.  To present I have 5x3rd, 13x2nd, and 8x1st in tournaments that I have competed in since age 8.  I have been on the high school golf team since I was a freshman.  I was the team captain as a junior and I am currently the team captain as a senior.  I would like to go to college to further my studies toward a major in education and or engineering technology.  I am interested in schools on the West Coast because I really like the climate and I would enjoy being independent in a different setting.  I will, however, entertain opportunities anywhere in the country, including the State of Hawaii.  I would like to attend a Division 1 school, however, I am interested in any opportunity.  In closing, I would like an opportunity to attend college to further educate and prepare myself for a career in education or engineering technology.  I would appreciate an opportunity to play collegiate golf at any level.  I know that I will be able to contribute immediately and be an asset to any team.  Golf is a life long game that I truly enjoy playing.  Thank you for your time and consideration.
