Aleksander John '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Aleksander John, I am currently a senior at DCDS in Beverly Hills, MI.  I am interested in playing hockey at the collegiate level while I pursue my academic studies. I believe that playing competitively while working toward my degree will make me a more well rounded student. It will help me become more determined and focused on my goals.

I learned to skate at 4 years of age and started playing travel hockey at six. My first team really introduced me to the thrill of competitive play. Over the years, I have worked on becoming a  great skater, dedicated player and trusted teammate.  My coaches know I will take any criticism and use it to improve my game. On the ice, I am a two-way player who works hard to retrieve the puck, make plays, and finish opportunities.

I am currently in my third year of varsity play for my high school. I am also a player on a Tier II split season team. Our team won  state and national championships last season.

I take my academic performance as seriously as my athletic performance. I have been Magna Cum Laude throughout high school and have been a recipient of class of 2022 Blue and Gold Scholar-Athlete Award.

I am looking forward to hearing from college coaches and discussing my possible future at their school.
