Dear future coaches,
I started playing lacrosse in 3rd grade and the first time I picked up a stick, I fell in love with the game. Almost immediately I started watching college lacrosse and I knew I wanted to continue playing after high school ended. I still hold this passion to play at the highest level possible for a competitive college program. Over the last eight years I have honed my skills while playing on some the best teams in the country, therefore I know I have the ability to play at the next level. I am a coachable player who never puts anyone down and I always give 100% effort. As a LSM, I will hunt any lose ground balls (especially on the wing), I can comfortably carry the ball in transition and participate on the offensive side of the ball, and I can guard the top midfielder on the opposing team. Academically, I have always had outstanding grades (102 weighted average and on the high honor roll) as schoolwork is my top priority. I have taken four AP classes so far in high school and I am taking three more next year. I am in all honors classes too. I also participate in activities outside of school and lacrosse. I have played soccer for about 10 years and currently compete on a club team as well as my high school team. Playing soccer has given me stamina, speed, athleticism, and a good sense of teamwork which suits me on the lacrosse field. Finally, I give back to my community as a reader at my local parish and by volunteering there as well. My experience from playing lacrosse to volunteering has prepared me to take the next step to play at collegiate program.
