Hi, my name is Roman Anast. I am in the class of 2024 at Del Oro High school and I am a striker for Sacramento Republic. At the age of 4, I began playing soccer and began to develop a strong passion for the sport and taking it to the next level. As I was recommended by a coach to continue my career to the next level, I began to play for an academy. As far as academics go in college, I am currently undecided in my major. My goal is to play at the highest level of college soccer. Some unique attributes that I can bring to your team are my work ethic, compassion, and leadership. I am someone who always wants to get better no matter what the consequences are and no matter what I have to go through to be the best I possibly can be. Leadership is a responsibility that I continue to take on throughout my career to get the best out of my team, and push them to get better. Before our season officially started, I was focusing more on improving my explosiveness and agility. Currently I have a plyometric trainer 2 days of the week to work on speed and dynamics. My fast foot work and my acceleration while on the ball and off the ball is something that not a lot of players can say about themselves. While spending hours on the field and in the weight room, I have gained a new perspective on how I should train. All of the attributes that I obtain can help your program grow.
