I am a junior at Sequoia High School in Redwood City. I am an IB student, (please see my current classes below), and I continue to work hard to prepare for college despite distance learning. I look forward to continuing my studies in college and I very much hope to continue to play soccer in college as well.
I have been part of a club soccer team for many years. In the past two years I have been playing with San Carlos United, Stealth Blue which currently plays in the Norcal Premier League and has a 6-1-1 record as of last season. I also play varsity high school soccer at Sequoia High in Redwood City, California. The Sequoia varsity soccer team has a record of 12-9-1 as of the past season and made it to the CCS division III semi finals. Last year, I was nominated MVP for the JV team.
I’ve always been passionate about the beautiful game of soccer and very much look forward to continuing playing in college. I really enjoy being part of a team and working together to achieve a common goal, even if it means to work and train hard. I play defense, center back or outside back. One of my strengths is in anticipating the way a play goes and I am therefore usually well positioned. I am also capable of very precise passing and my coaches tell me that I am reading the game well and playing smart. My favorite play is taking the ball up the field on the side to pass to my forwards. This summer, I plan to work more on my endurance and my physical strength. I hope you will have the opportunity to watch me play this summer, or whenever the season resumes. Please let me know what ID camps you will attend and I will try my best to be there. I believe I have the ability to be a part of your team, and contribute to its future success.
This is how my club coach describes me as a player:
A versatile player with high sprint speed and very high fitness levels
Technically comfortable receiving under pressure and able to distribute well from back to front
Desire and dedication to learn and to perform
Tactically very aware of spacial awareness on the ball and team shape off the ball
Experimental with the ball always looking for new ways to build up and generate the attack
