Ever since I was six years old, I knew that soccer was my favorite sport. Growing up with a family that loves to watch soccer and play soccer, it became my life. I played soccer ever since I can remember, it's always been a hobby of mine or a place where I can run to when I'm feeling down. I played for church leagues and normal leagues in general as well.
My freshman year, I made the Jv B team also known as the freshman team for West Bloomfield high school. I managed to be the captain and had led the team even though that year we didn't do so well. During that year I played mostly as a defender but sometimes would be moved to play as a midfielder, and also as a forward. That year I trained and trained because I knew that if I wanted to make the varsity team as a sophomore it would take a lot of work and dedication. During my sophomore year, I made the varsity soccer team which included only myself and another sophomore out of the entire class of 2019 from our school. In that year I played mostly as a defender because my coach thought I played better in that position. He also sometimes had placed me as a midfielder helping more of the defense players. I also played as RM (forwards) for some games which made me an all around player which was a plus on my end because I got experience in every position in which not a lot of players have that opportunity.
I consider myself as a fighter or a go getter, in the manner of never giving up and believing in something. In my opinion I believe if you want something you would have to work very hard and work for it. This will lead me to hopefully end up in a successful university that has a great soccer program and a great academic reputation.
I want to major in a field related to problem solving and team building and I have came to a conclusion that engineering is where my passion is or where it leads me. Thus far I have accomplished great academic achievements such as maintaining a high grade point average as well as having classes of high honors.
Overall, playing college soccer is an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime; to people whom thrive to work hard by not giving up. I myself will try in the best of my abilities to give my all to be as successful academically in school and in soccer.
