My name is David Coggin. From a very young age I have always had a passion for soccer. I grew up in Sierra Leone and got an early exposure to learning how to play soccer with adults. I've always been motivated to getting better at my game either by practicing daily, eating right, and comparing game clips of how I play and how professional players play. My goal is to play at the college level and possibly beyond that because I love challenging myself and being the best player I can become. I also believe I can contribute to the team's success and live up to the expectations. I love playing soccer because of all the important lessons it has taught me. Like working with teammates to solve a complicated problem, being able to trust everyone on the team, the pure enjoyment I get from it, and most importantly teaching me that nothing is given but earned. Outside of soccer I enjoy coding, building robots, and fixing broken things around the house. I've had a great Club and High School soccer career. All throughout high school, I have competed on the varsity level and starting in every game. I won 2018 All District Team my freshman year and 2021 First Team All District my senior year. Unfortunately, my junior year of soccer was cut short due to Covid. However I used that extra time to put in extra work and as a result I am reaping the benefits my senior year (2021) . With 16 goals and 6 assists in 14 games, I have no intentions of slowing down anytime soon.
