I started playing tennis competitively at the age of 8 with my father being my primary tennis coach. With that being said, people often assume that I was forced to play this sport. Which is wrong, instead I grew my own love for this sport having played it and always been around it. Tennis has taught me commitment, discipline, teamwork skills, and has given me a hard work ethic. I'm hoping to find a tennis program that will be suitable for me both athletically and also academically. Not only do I believe that I have the talent, but also good sportsmanship on and off the court, and the dedication to always strive further and to be the best to compete on your team.
While playing tennis for the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack, my junior year I went undefeated 17-0, while also winning the Capital Valley Conference league super singles. While also going undefeated sophomore year, freshman year I went 12-2. While only being a freshmen at the time, knowing that I had more time to grow, this made me more dedicated to improving my tennis game. However, being a student-athlete all of high school the number one thing that it has taught me is how to manage my time efficiently and to create a balance between school and tennis.
