My name is Derek my friends call me DWade. I have played many sports over the years. My passion is running. I am 6 ' 3 about165 Lbs. My goal is to take my 400 time to 50 flat or 1:55 for my 800 m time by the end of the summer 2012. Right now I run, 400, 4X400, 800 & in track. I played summer baseball and football most of my life. I also have played Soccer, Wrestled and Cross Country. I qualified for the Junior Olympic Regionals in Oshkosh where I placed fourth and was a National quailifier. I spend most of my free time working out and trying to improve my times. I am planning on running Cross Country this fall and right now I play Ultimate frisbee. My education will be very important. I would like to find a school that has a competitive track team and a great Criminal Justice program. My career goal is to become an law enforcement officer. I want to make a difference in the world. I did job review at the Omaha Police Department. I am open to any school who has the right combination. Every track runner has dreams of running in Division I but I am open to anything. Texas would be great because there are so many schools to choose from and I have a lot of family and friends there. I have a sister who lives in Missouri that would be great to be closer to her. My biggest assest is I work hard at always getting better and faster. I am devoted to find the coaches and schools who will spend some time recruiting with me. My parents and I are all working together to find the right fit for all of us. If you want a student athlete who will give 110% that would be me. I am coachable and love to run.
