I am not a perfect person or a perfect player and I'm a strong believer that no person on this planet is perfect in any way shape or form, but I am somebody who works toward those ideals of perfection in my everyday life. I consistently work on honesty, integrity, willingness, and open-mindedness to help grow my self-esteem and relationships with others. I understand that life is not on my terms and when I go through my day thinking it is I am led to a place of disappointment, so I try my best to acknowledge that everything happens for a reason and that acceptance is the answer. This plays a huge role in my everyday life but also my sport. I can see that if we lose one point, set, or game I put in my best effort and if that wasn't good enough then it wasn't meant to be. I have had many struggles in my academic background because of external factors but, I am proud to say that I have taken back my willingness and my resilience in order to prove that I can finish this chapter of my life with grace and start with new beginnings. I am so grateful today for volleyball. I have been able to experience close relationships with teammates and coaches that truly made me feel a part of a community. I have been taught that sometimes I can be a little stubborn, but I can be physically and emotionally available for my team, and I can bring the energy!
