Personal Statement

My name is Amad J. Helwani and I plan to be a successful undergraduate. I behold many aspirations which includes to utilize my abilities and be the best possible version of myself within and beyond the sport of water polo. During my time at an institution I'm going to be studying to fulfill a major in history, in order to be able to teach the subject in a meaningful and comprehensive way. Among many of my collegiate goals, I plan to become a more knowledgeable and more dedicated individual in order contribute overall to society.

My thought on the phrase "good candidate " constitutes dedication,  perseverance, and to be a grand example of a leader, as well, as holding reasonable confidence. More so, such a phrase refers to an individual who aids himself and others to be the very best. I strive to make those terms applicable to myself everyday of my life. I have had many memories and experiences with the sport of water polo in addition to numerous mistakes that I have overcame and learned from tactical coaches and trainers. From the commencement of my water polo years, I knew it was going to be a major challenge. From personal experience, I know challenges are key to bettering yourself. I would be a great asset as I am willing and able to adapt and compromise to what is necessary for the team.

I am unlike other recruits in that I am advantageous with the notion concerning strategies and tactics. However, I believe it is more than being skilled at treading or passing. I believe I am capable of beholding such calculated plans of actions amongst severe situations in pressuring circumstances. I believe it is critical to understand one's body capabilities. It is important to know your limitations, as well, as exceed them. Likewise, if I am committed to a sport, team, or perhaps anything I am willing to uptake, I am condoning my whole livelihood to ensure I do so with absolute passion and devotion. I, also, apply these distinguished methods to my academic career by utilizing my knowledge within the classroom. As well as, using unique strategies of my previously stated methods to aid me during the process of my learning.
