Personal Statement

As both an avid fan of collegiate softball and a dedicated softball player, I want to pursue my love of the game further by playing softball in college. My main collegiate goal is to graduate in four years, with a high GPA. and, all the while, I would love to succeed on the softball field. When not on the field, I get involved in other activites, and make new friends. At the end of my collegiate career, I would like to get into a good medical school, and succeed there as well. No matter what position I am assigned to play, I work diligently, giving my best effort. To demonstrate my dedication to my sport and to my team, I strive to help everyone keep their heads up at all times by encouraging them when needed. Whether on the bench or on the field, I have been told by coaches and teammates that encouraging others is something I do well. I make it a point to listen to the ideas of others. I welcome constructive criticism and I use it to help me improve my game.

Although I am not sure what other recruits may bring to the table in terms of character, I can tell you what attributes I possess. One of my greater attributes is that I get along with other people easily. I like to initiate conversation with other people, and I always want everyone to be included. Accepting challenges with open arms, I love to try new things and see how far I can push myself. On the field I am different because I’m always working hard, for I love playing more than anything. Even practicing is fun for me. During practice and in games, always working hard, I do whatever is best for the team, so you can put me in any position you may need. Wherever I go, you can count on me to put my best effort in and succeed. In the classroom I always work hard. Whether it's for a good grade or just to learn, you can always count on me to give my best effort. I get along well with teachers, and ask many questions. Going to class is one thing I enjoy, and teaching myself concepts is something that comes easily for me.
