Personal Statement

Hello, my name is Lillian Hamels and I currently attend Frontier High School in Hamburg, New York.  From a young age, I have always imagined myself in the medical field.  More recently, I have been drawn to orthopedics and would like to pursue a career working with an orthopedic team as either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.    While pursuing my academic goals, I would like to continue playing softball at the collegiate level and compete with a team of athletes that share similar academic and athletic values.

I understand the importance of being able to work as a team and realize that this attribute is necessary while a part of a team and while working in your place of employment.  I have pushed myself academically, resulting in a high honor roll status for the last three years of high school and have worked hard to balance a heavy softball schedule year round.  As the captain of my travel and school varsity softball team, I work hard to motivate my teammates and lead my team by showing how hard work and perseverance can pay off.

  • Hello, I just wanted to personally reach out and congratulate you on qualifying and being invited to participate in our 1st Top 100 Softball Elite Games! This is a huge accomplishment and you should be extremely proud of all the work you have put in over the past weeks, months and years. I cannot begin to tell you as an instructor, a coach, and an evaluator how invaluable these measurables are and understanding them can be crucial to your development as a softball player. These numbers can and will be used as motivation for improvement, baselines for coaches, and recruiting tools for yourselves and collegiate coaches. While we understand the process of getting seen and the recruitment process can be a stressful one, an expensive one, and a journey you seem to never know if you are on the correct path, we at Top 100 Sports are always trying to give you the best of both worlds along with a good value for your dollar. Getting measured along with competing in games with college coaches coaching you and watching you in a perfect opportunity to not only be seen, but it gives you an insight on what coaches are looking for at the next level. Being in the coaching profession and understanding the process I can assure you that there is not one correct way, or even one best way to get recruited, every coach is different, and every program has certain needs. But what I can tell you is that if your talent and skills can be measured and then showcased in front of and with coaches, many of those bases are covered. I cannot begin to say how valuable this experience will be for your daughter and you as parents. Our keynote speaker will be Vanessa Shippy-Fletcher a 3 time All American and 2 time Big 12 Player of the Year at Oklahoma State, along with a professional player with the Scrap Yard Dogs and current Syracuse University Assistant Coach. We cannot wait to see you at Legends Fields for a great couple of days and a great event! If you have not yet registered click here to do so. Sincerely, Bryan Ingalls Top 100 Sports NY State Director-Softball

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
