Mackenzie Moccia '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is MacKenzie Moccia and I will graduate high school in 2023. I have been playing softball since I was 5. I inherited my love for the game from my dad and my uncles. One of which played in the Detroit Tigers Organization. I plan on studying eduation,  and follow my parents into the education field.  I think my work ethic, team work, and desire to improve my game will separate me from other candidates. I have focused my time playing for the Lady Fury. We play many tournaments including the USSSA Nationals in Ocean City Maryland.  The off season is spent working out 4 to 5 times a week at the Fury's indoor facility. I have made huge strides in my game over the last 3 years.  Only my grades at school are more important than softball. I am a honor roll student even though I have  been diagnosed with a learning disability.  I am not afraid to go the extra mile to succeed, and I am results oriented person. I do not let excuses get in my way. I play 3rd base on Sundays, but my coach plays me at many positions on the field. He call me his "Swiss Army Knife."  I look forward to the challenge of playing softball at the next level.
