Mikayla Griner '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mikayla Griner and I am now a senior at Warrior Run High School. I have been playing softball since I was 8 years old, and have loved every second of it. I have also been playing travel ball since I was about 11 years old. I spent my freshman year learning from our team that went to the state semi-finals. Throughout my sophomore and junior year, I then found my home starting on the pitching mound. I am normally the fourth or fifth hitter in the batting lineup. On my travel teams, I also contributed to the outfield and third base when needed. This sport has taught me so much already, and I am looking forward to see where the opportunities at the collegiate level can take me, and teach me. I work hard on and off the field, helping myself and my teammates as much as I can. As much work as I put into softball, I put just as much into my education. My interest in Anatomy and helping others has led me to want to further my education into a Physical Therapy or a Speech Pathology program. I hope to excel in the classroom and on the field wherever I go.
