Hi, my name is Sydney Jacobsen and I'm a student-athlete from Virginia. As a military kid, I have had the chance to play with teams all over the world, including Virginia and Hawaii. Even though we have moved every two or three years, my family and softball have been there for me. I love to compete, and my favorite is when I get to step on the field and play with and against the very best.
My goal is to play college softball and eventually play for Team USA Softball. I've played competitive softball for almost eight years. With Bay River Rumble in Virginia, we won the 2013 NSA 12U State Championship. With Crush in Hawaii, we won the 2014 ASA 14U State Championship. In fall 2014, our Mililani High School JV Team won the Oahu Island Championship. As a freshman, I also played on the Mililani High School Varsity Team where we won the Oahu Island Championship in spring 2015. While I lived in Hawaii, my teams traveled to California, and I had the opportunity to play in the Surf City Tournament in Huntington Beach and at the Champions Cup Tournament with Guava Jam. Now that I'm living in Virginia again, I am playing with Bay River Rumble, this time on the 18U GOLD team. I also play on the Varsity team for Tabb High School, as starting catcher and utility. I was selected First Team All State, All Region and All Conference as Utility. My primary positions are catcher and first base, but I also play 3rd base, short stop, and wherever I'm needed. Thanks for looking at my profile!
