2017 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I have played basketball and volleyball throughout my school years. I was passionate for both sports, so I joined a travel volleyball club in 7th grade and an AAU basketball team in 9th grade. As a sophomore, I have realized my passion for basketball can take me to the next level with my leadership skills, mental mindset and athletic ability.
Coming from a IA private Christian school, I have had to overcome some difficult situations. For example, at my school we have the opportunity to play all sports that are offered. So, loyalties with different sports will occur. This can be difficult to manage on the basketball court. However, being at this school enabled me to have great coaches that influenced my academic and Christian life as well.
My school work is just as important to me as training for basketball. I want to maintain a 3.5 GPA in high school and get a 25 on the ACT. I believe having these goals can open many doors for my future.
