My name is Erykah Jones, currently a senior at Windsor Forest High School, in Savannah, GA. Below is a brief outline of my time playing the game of basketball which I enjoy. My plans are to go to college and get a degree in Physical Therapy.
While in elementary school, I’ve played with Upward and the YMCA. Playing at that age brought me to play with Southwest Middle school, where we made it to the championship all three years and we won two championships out of three. As time passed I grew and used my talent to play at Windsor Forest High School. Although we may not win much and have a rough time my love for the sport hasn’t changed. During this time I also played one season with AAU Basketball as well as a training camp with Ricky Taylor Basketball Camp in Tennessee.
When I play basketball it allows me to be free and just focus on something that I really enjoy doing. It allows me to be happy. When I play, I give it my all and leave my emotions and feelings on the court. It brings me a great since of joy into my life every time I step foot on the court.
I’ve learned, to be a great basketball player you need to be a great leader on and off the court. Over time I also learned that the team feeds off the captain. If I’m off there are off. They tend to give what you give. So I try to keep my head up at all times.
I feel that I will be an asset to your team, I am very coachable, well manno
