Unlike many others, I started playing basketball when I was 10 years old through the local recreation department. Although, I was only able to play one game that year, I went out for our middle school team the next year and made the team as a sixth grader.
Over the past few years, I've developed strong basketball handling skills considering that I am predominately left-handed. On and off the court, I try to be a leader to my teammates and friends. I strive to be one of the hardest working players while taking constructive criticism and making it as a teaching and learning opportunity.
Off the court, I'm in my school's marching band and in FBLA. I am also very active in my church and I volunteer my time by helping other youth at our recreation department.
It is my desire to attend college and play basketball on the collegiate level. I also want to attend a college that will push me in both the classroom and on the court to be successful. It is also my desire to become a role model to my peers and to make my hometown and family proud of me.
