Kendal Rider '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kendal Rider, and I'm a senior at Lafayette Central Catholic Jr/Sr high school, class of 2023. I am a 3 sport athlete with a desire to play basketball at the next level. I am a 5’7 point guard and defensive specialist. What makes me different from other student athletes is that my freshman year I was diagnosed with a tumor in my pancreas and to be able to get back on the court after surgery was going to be a battle but I pushed myself everyday and made it back 6 months later. I am also a huge team player, I will do everything I can to help make my team succeed. I even played a full game the day after having a procedure done.

On the court, I always faceguard the opposing team's best player and limit their touches. I even held the Indiana’s leading scorer to 10 points. Another difference is that I keep my team pumped at all times, when I bring energy, everyone feeds off of it. I think I would be a good prospect for any team because I am hard working and I’ve learned to work even harder to overcome obstacles.
