2021 SpotlightPersonal Statement
Though I have played for 14 years, I’ve only found my deep passion for the game in the past two, and that came with maturity. In this I've pushed myself to play as the only senior on my AAU team, the reason being is that I am striving to be the best basketball player I can be, and get to the collegiate level. Knowing I don’t have a guarantee to play next year has made me push myself even harder, on the court and in the gym.
Growing up I wasn't the kid that was out in the driveway shooting 100 bunnies from both sides, working as hard as I could, I just let the game come to me. Now, I am that kid, I push myself to be the best player I can possibly be, making sure there are no seconds wasted. This drive came with my love for the game. This is why I believe I will be/become a great asset to your team. I am always willing to earn my way on the team as a practice player, as long as I can get my hands on a ball!
