Hello, I am Isabella Cassoni (2022 – PG, Waynesville High School - Varsity). My friends call me Bella. I became interested in basketball during my fourth grade year in elementary school. I fell in love with the sport-playing AAU and school ball ever since. I am very quick which has provided me with good opportunities to drive and defend well from the very start. I became passionate about ball handling – working on it constantly. As my handle skills improved, I focused on shooting and court awareness – increasing my accuracy and passing ability and then on my strength and agility for both offense and defense. Of course, none of this would be possible without the great coaches and trainers who have guided my development and pushed me hard both on and off the court.
I have a high drive personality and work hard to achieve my goals. I want to play competitive college basketball (it is a dream of mine) while acquiring my undergraduate education. My studies are very important to me – I have aspirations of becoming a lawyer. I am appreciative of my parents, coaches, and trainers who have invested in me in countless ways to be the best student and athlete I can be. I look forward to applying my skills and passion to the college that matches with me.
