I have been playing golf since I was 3 years old. Because I am a double-sport athlete, I did not start competitive golf until I was 12. When I first started competing, I knew that I wanted to play collegiate golf. In order to achieve this goal, I had to step up my game. Although my competitors have their advantages from their many experiences in golf, I also have my own advantages from being a well-rounded athlete. From my own experiences, I have important qualities like time-management, work ethic, and responsibility. Even though I started out later than my competitors, I will not let it be a boundary for me. I believe that I can play collegiate golf and continue on to play golf professionally.
I try to keep my game consistent so that I can feel confident when I play. I try my best to be a great role model on and off the course because I know that kids need someone to look up to in order to find their own goals and aspirations in life.
Whatever I choose to do in life, I want to do my best. I strive to keep on rising up and always take a step forward. If there are problems in my path, I will find a way around it and continue on forward. I understand that education is important in society, and I know that honesty and determination are important qualities people should have. After reaching my goals as a golfer, I will find a way to give back to the community because I feel grateful for what life has given me.
