Grace Monk '21 Recruiting Profile

I am a 17 year-old attending Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, CA. Since I was nine I have wanted to be a doctor.  My plan is to major in psychology as an undergraduate.  In doing so I will learn to better read people and their emotions, which I expect to be very helpful in the medical field.  As an athlete, I appreciate golf and its challenges, because of the devotion and dedication it requires to excel, and the patience and sportsmanship that come from it.  It would be a great opportunity to play golf at a collegiate level.  Team golf will enhance my college experience with the camaraderie of my teammates and the mentorship of coaches who support my successes as a golfer, student, and ultimately as an adult. I am one of five children and I have had to fight hard for opportunities because of my family's financial constraints and limited resources. These challenges have taught me ambition, hard work, level-headedness, and that a positive attitude always wins!
