Personal Statement

I wil be a 2013 graduate from Hinsdale South High School located in Darien, IL. I started playing golf prior to my freshman year of high school. I aspire to play golf at the collegiate level at a school that meets my academic curriculum. I have a 4.0 out of 5.0 GPA and am currently taking AP statistics. My goal is to ultimately find the right college match.

I started playing golf the summer before my freshman year and have been working with Director of Instruction, Kevin Weeks, at Cog Hill Golf & CC in Lemont, Illinois for the last three years. I have been playing on the Hinsdale South High School Varsity Golf Team for four years and was MVP of the team my junior year and captain my senior year. I qualified individually for the IHSA state tournament as a sophomore and was All-Conference my freshman, sophomore and junior years. During the summer months, I compete in tournaments organized by the Illinois Junior Golf Association (IJGA) and Mid American Junior Golf Tour (MAJGT). My golf resume is enclosed which includes golf scores and references. When I am not practicing or playing golf, I am working hard to maintain a cumulative grade point average of 4.0. I have been on the honor roll every semester at Hinsdale South and I am currently enrolled in one AP class as a senior.
