Personal Statement

Growing up I have done pretty much every sport I could. For me, golf has been my favorite.  Coming into high school, I began playing golf and have fallen in love with it.  It has taught me to have confidence and to not give up because you can always better yourself.  I love the way it makes me feel and I really enjoy the team aspect.  Not only are you competing for yourself but for others as well.

I would love to continue to play golf in college and be a part of a team.  I feel that being a part of a team is very beneficial and has really helped me academically and personally.  I enjoy being challenged academically because I know if I work hard I can overcome anything.  I plan on going into occupational therapy once I graduate and I know that will take focus and determination.  If I had the opportunity to play golf in college I would utilize every aspect of it.  It would be a privilege to be a part of something bigger than just myself.  My ultimate goal in life is to better myself and everything around me.

Even qualifying this year was a big accomplishment alone.
